CZAS 2012 - 2013 Season Summary

 

The 2012 – 2013 Cheer Zone Mini Team members are: (Row 1) Ashlyn McGary, Presleigh Smeathers, Keeli Johnson, Reese Keller, Preslie Hines. (Row 2) Emily Wilhite, Caitlyn Bell, Lauren Mitchell, Morgan Lucas, Kaylee Fulkerson, Courtney Ostria, & JaLynn Hudson.
(Row 3) Morgan Julian, Morgan Wells, Abby Spong, Zoe Barker, Amaya Curry and Aja Brown. The Mini team is coached by Cary & Kerrie Overall and assisted by Morgan Whitsell. 

The Cheer Zone Mini team competed in 6 regular season competitions.

In October the CZ Minis placed third in their first event in Louisville. Later in October they traveled to Evansville and won first place against teams from Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri.
In December the CZ Minis traveled to Gatlinburg where they earned their first National Title of this season against teams from Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. The judges gave the Minis “Best Tumbling Section” award. They had the highest score of all Level 1 teams at this competition, out scoring 20 other Level 1 teams and won Level 1 Grand Champions.
In February the CZ Minis traveled to Louisville where they won another National Championship against teams from Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. The Minis had the highest score of all Level 1 teams at this competition, out scoring 12 other Level 1 teams and won Level 1 Grand Champions. The Minis were awarded a Paid Bid to the US Finals.
In March the CZ Minis traveled to Indy to compete at Live! where they placed first against teams from Indiana, Illinois and Ohio.
Late March the CZ Minis finished their regular season in Louisville where they were National Champions competing against teams from Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
They will finish their season by competing at the US Finals in April!
 


 

The 2012 – 2013 Cheer Zone Youth Team members are: (Row 1) Alyssa Koller, Hannah Wells, Delaney Brown, Alexis Mattingly and Heather Seibert. (Row 2) Kloee Phelps, Addison Mineer, Kira Midkiff, Abby Moore, Cailyn Fleischmann, and Kailee Jones. (Row 3) Brooke Sangalli, Maris Blout, Hannah Duncan, Cameron Weigand, Carter Williams, Makayla Singer, and Kensely Cauley. The Youth team is coached by Cary & Kerrie Overall and assisted by Erika Leeper.

The Cheer Zone Youth team competed in 7 regular season competitions.
In October, the CZ Youth team placed second at their first event in Louisville and was awarded the “Spirit Award”. Later in October they traveled to Evansville and won first place while competing in the older Junior Level 2 division due to an injury.
In December the CZ Youth team traveled to Gatlinburg where they earned their first National Title of this season against other teams from Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee. They had the highest score of all Level 2 teams at this competition, out scoring 18 other Level 2 teams to win Level 2 Grand Champions. They also received a Paid Bid to the US Finals.
In January the CZ Youth team traveled to Indianapolis to compete at Jamfest Super Nationals where they placed second against other teams from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
In February the CZ Youth team traveled to Louisville where they won another National Championship. They had the highest score of all Level 2 teams at this competition, out scoring 13 other Level 2 teams to win Level 2 Grand Champions. They also received the judges award for “Best Choreography”.
In March, the CZ Youth team traveled to Indy to compete at Live! where they placed first in their division. They had the highest score of all Level 2 teams at this competition, out scoring 21 other Level 2 teams to win Level 2 Grand Champions.
The CZ Youth team finished their regular season in Louisville where they were National Champions against other teams from Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. They will finish their season by competing at the US Finals in April!


 

The 2012 – 2013 Cheer Zone Junior Team members are: (Row 1) Lindsay Phipps, Samantha Reddick, Ella Chamberlain, Kaylee Ivy, Heather Seibert, Colleen Ray, and Jaydan Hillyard. (Row 2) Alyson Ford, Madison Leeper, Hannah Duncan, Kaci Walker, Mary-Kaitlyn Koller, Breanna Reel, Kailee Simmons and Tanner Holbrooke. (Row 3) Kori Weigand, Emma Fitzgerald, Courtney Wilkerson, Tabby Crockett, Alana Ebelhar, Leah Sergeant, and Natalie Sangalli. The Junior team is coached by Cary & Kerrie Overall and assisted by De’Shur Parm and Evan Todd.

The Cheer Zone Junior team competed in 7 regular season competitions. This team competes at Level 5 which is the highest level that high school or younger athletes can compete in All Star Cheerleading.
In October the CZ Juniors placed second at their first event in Louisville. Later in October they traveled to Evansville and won first place and were awarded the “Spirit Award”.
In December the CZ Juniors traveled to Gatlinburg where they earned their first National Title of this season. The judges also awarded them “Best Choreography”.
In January the CZ Juniors traveled to Indianapolis to compete at Jamfest Super Nationals where they placed second against other teams from North Carolina. They had the 5th highest Level 5 score among 11 other Junior 5 teams from Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. They were the only Level 5 Junior team from Kentucky.
In February the CZ Juniors traveled to Louisville where they won another National Championship. They also received the judges award for “Best Jump Sequence”.
In March, the CZ Juniors traveled to Indy to compete at Live! where they placed first in their division. They finished their regular season in Louisville where they were National Champions and had the 4th highest Level 5 score against other Senior Level 5 & 6 teams from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio.
 

The 2012 – 2013 Cheer Zone Senior Co-Ed Team members are: (Row 1) De’Shur Parm, Breanna Reel, Lexie Games, Alexia McHenry, Brooklyn Girten ,Tori Trimble, Kelsey Bowen, Lindsay Phipps, and Kaci Walker. (Row 2) Tanner Holbrooke, Morgan Whitsell, Meaghan Glenn, Taylor Mooney, Danielle Kennedy, Lacey Hunter, Madison Leeper, Emily Lorenzen, Storm Wilhoyte, Miranda Flood. (Row 3) Kate Sook, Dana Frakes, Maggie Tapia, Shayne Taylor, Evan Todd, Hadley Walker, Shelby Ackerman, Logan Glasscock, and Shannon McLimore. (Row 4) Kaitlyn Wells, Jennifer Belcher, Nikki Seibert, Logan Cart, Kailyn Phelps, Erika Leeper, and Kindra Evans. The Senior Co-Ed team is coached by Cary & Kerrie Overall.

The Cheer Zone Senior Co-Ed team competed in 7 regular season competitions and were undefeated all season. This team competes at Level 5 which is the highest level that high school athletes can compete in All Star Cheerleading.
In October, the CZ Senior Co-Ed team received first place at their first event in Louisville. They had the highest score of all Level 5 teams at this competition, outscoring 5 other Level 5 teams to win Grand Champions. Later in October they traveled to Evansville and won first place.
In December the CZ Senior Co-Ed team traveled to Gatlinburg where they earned their first National Title of this season against other teams from Georgia, Kentucky, and North Carolina. They had the highest score of all Level 5 teams at this competition, outscoring 4 other Level 5 teams to win Level 5 Grand Champions.
In January the CZ Senior Co-Ed team traveled to Indianapolis to compete at Jamfest Super Nationals where they won a National Championship title competing against another team from Kentucky.
In February the CZ Senior Co-Ed team traveled to Louisville where they won a National Championship title. They had the highest score of all Level 5 teams at this competition, out scoring 5 other Level 5 teams to win Level 5 Grand Champions.
In March, the CZ Senior Co-Ed team traveled to Indy to compete at Live! where they placed first in their division. They had the highest score of all Level 5 teams at this competition, out scoring 8 other Level 5 teams to win Level 5 Grand Champions.
The CZ Senior Co-Ed team finished their regular season in Louisville where they won a National Championship title, missing another Grand Championship by only 0.02.
